My book,?I Love You, Mom? Please Don?t Break My Heart has opened a number of doors, affording me the opportunity of countless speaking engagements around the world.??I speak at correctional institutions for both children and adults, to entities such as CASA, CAC, Churches, and Law Enforcement Agencies.???I have a legitimate message, and a newspaper writer said it best in an article he wrote about me and my book????It has gained John Borgstedt notoriety and national recognition as one of the country?s foremost child advocates.??

I am pleased that I decided to write the book.?It has put me in a position to help many.?Being an author I am now respected as an authority regarding child abuse, and I am able to assist family and law enforcement agencies with child abuse cases ? all over the country ? when called upon.

Writing this book also led to my story being portrayed in a full length film which has reached countless others.?The film has been well received and has won seven national and international awards.??

In addition and without fail ? I might mention -?it seems, there is always at least one person at my book signings? looking for a moment alone with me ? to tell me their story of abuse.??Teenagers, grown men and women, sometimes even an elderly person will watch for that moment and walk up to me.??They are almost in tears and I know what to expect, as they pour out their stories ?

In addition since writing my first book, I have become a multi-published writer and co-author.?
