I?m in the UK, in London to be exact and for as long as I can remember, certainly all the way back to when I left school 16 years ago, same sex relationships have been readily accepted. I have a gay Uncle, I have gay friends and I know about the same amount of people that are attracted to same sex people as I do people that are attracted to the opposite sex. In my walk of life, it?s no biggie ? even grandparents that are still anti mixed-race relationships are all for same sex relationships. So it got me thinking, why, in general, does this not seem to be the case in America? Obviously, I am generalising but it really comes across like people there have a real concern or issue with same sex relationships, I mean even on Yahoo! Answers questions pertaining to gay/lesbian relationships end up in the Newborn & Baby section and it can get pretty heated.
Do you feel like that it?s purely based on a lifetime of being told that it is wrong and sinful? I have asked a similar question before and was told that it?s because religion plays such a huge part in the average American life, however I find this hard to believe when there are so many other things that go against the biblical grain which are seemingly accepted in the great USofA.
What are your thoughts on this?
Cowboy C ? You?re in England? Really? lol
Ben ? You?re an idiot. YOUR country was founded on OUR principles, so if 95% of England are gay, surely that means 95% of American?s are gay?meaning that you probably are too. Stop hating you idiot.
